This book represents the successful conclusion of an excellent ten-year motor sport experience in the City of Imola. Its title refers to the double great return of international motocross to its origins.
On the occasion of the re-evocations of the European and World Motocross Championships (Imola 1948-1965) organized in 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018, the champions who walked the glorious Parco Acque Minerali track in the 1940s, 50s and 60s returned to Imola.
53 years after the last Grand Prix in 1965, in 2018 modern motocross also returned to Imola with the MXGP Italian Grand Prix.
The re-evocations served as a flywheel, suggesting the idea of bringing great motocross back to its original home.
After an introduction chapter on the evolution of the specialty from its beginnings to the present day, the central part of the book is dedicated to the stories of ten great champions of the past who have recently returned to Imola.
The final chapters propose the reportage of the 2018 MXGP Italian Grand Prix and the contextual Celebration Event of the 70th Anniversary of the First International Motocross of Italy (Imola 1948) organized at the "Enzo and Dino Ferrari" International Autodrome of Imola.
