Although other, less glorious models would follow, it was the Thema the last true Lancia flagship: together with the first Delta, by far the best product of Fiat management.
A high-impact style, by Italdesign, an image capable of imposing a first-rate Italian product in a sector dominated by foreign brands, Germans in particular, and an extended range such as had never before been seen on a big Lancia: saloon, limousine, station wagon; four, six and eight-cylinder engines, petrol and turbo diesel. Honourable mention for the 8.32, the celebrated "Thema-Ferrari" that from its birth made (and still makes) people dream.
Lancia Thema Berlina, Station Wagon e 8.32 retraces the style genesis of the different versions and the historical-industrial vicissitudes of the Lancia flagship, with technical data sheets and the ever-present restoration tips. It also includes an unpublished interview granted to the author by Giorgetto Giugiaro.
