Meteco Corse - I miei primi 40 anni, a long, exciting and compelling story of men, women and rallies told in the three hundred pages of this precious volume, with the contribution of hundreds of pictures taken over the decades by Sergio 'Zoom' Biancolli, Elio Magnano, Giovanni Scarpari and many others.
Founded in 1982 thanks to the passion of a group of businessmen based in Turin, Meteco Corse quickly became a top-team, engaging in increasingly important races with excellent results, revealing itself as the only alternative to the major Italian teams of the 1980s, first and foremost the Jolly Club of Milan and the Grifone in Genoa.
This escalation was possible thanks to a different management of crews compared to all other minor teams, offering a comprehensive service, provided by qualified technicians, ranging from simple registration to races to finding a car and contact with sponsors.
In just a few years, Meteco Corse became a major player in national rallying. Gianni Capellino and Pierino Beltrandi, the most representative racers.
Its drivers, in the 1980s, with Lancia 037, won in every race and on every terrain, challenging each other with counter-steering that we can now only see in albums of memories. Then there will be Group B and A/N.
Meteco Corse is still present on the race fields today with many crews, to consolidate a 40-year activity!
