Francisco Herreros Alfaro is an authority on the history of Spanish motorcycling, and the most prolific author of reference works on this subject.

In the mid-1970s, he began collaborating with the magazine SOLO MOTO, editing the section "Historia de la Motocicleta Española", later followed by "Pasión por lo Retro".

In 1987, he founded the "Club de Amigos de la Motocicleta Española", the first dedicated to the classic motorbike in Spain. In the same year, he created the magazine Moto Retro.

From the outcome of all this experience, in 1992 he began publishing books on classic Spanish motorbikes, under his own publishing imprint "Moto Retro".
