In 1950 the Defense Ministry demanded all Alfa Romeo to study a reconnaissance vehicle for normal roads and rural and mountain roads. After a year the 1900 M (AR 51), designed by Giuseppe Busso and better known as Alfa Matta. Conceived circa inline-4 of 1900, from 1951 to 1953 was produced in two versions: the AR AR 51 Military and Civilian named 52. This off-road all Italian, used by major Organizations up in recent years, the book covers not only the technical and sporting history (with participation in the Mille Miglia, 1952), but offers a detailed and useful guide to restoration.
