From the mid-1970s until their death, professor Cesare Carani, a clinician at the University of Modena, constantly followed Enzo and Laura Ferrari as their personal doctor.
In particular, Enzo Ferrari demanded a check-up at his home, every day, including holidays, early in the morning and in the evening, before dinner.
From this singular assiduity (Ferrari died at the age of 90), a relationship was born that went beyond that between doctor and patient.
It is a different and surprising Ferrari, the one described for the first time by Professor Carani, one of the very few to have passed through the door of Largo Garibaldi in Modena countless times.
