From its inception in 1950 until today the F1 has transformed in many aspects.
One of the least explored but, at the same time, among the most fascinating is the clothing of the rider. F1 suits, born of necessity as a proper personal protective equipment from the fire have become, over the years, an epitome of technology and become an icon for many fans.
The history, the evolution and the main producers of the suits are presented for the first time in this volume, all enriched by a rich photographic apparatus (mainly coming from the Archive Amaduzzi Bologna) aims to illustrate the maximum production liveliness period - including between 1975 and 2000 - and the detailed files of 31 original suits: by Gunnar Nilsson suit of 1976 to that of Felipe Nasr of 2015.
