They saw him enter the cockpit of his car with that dense and long face; with those eyes that threw daggers of burning and hypnotizing black. They saw him again when he arrived, a winner trained never to raise his arms in a sign of jubilation, not to laugh, but only to smile, compost, almost absent. Never coarse. Even his name - Tazio Nuvolari - invited a kind of detachment that had no remedy.
Everyone knew about him, less what would have been very interesting to know. How was the home Nuvolari, in slippers or in a robe? What did he do with those long arms, with which he managed to handle the huge steering wheels of that time with ease and particular elegance?
The questions come in a continuous stream because a man who has known and a name that still knows, and closely, the legend, become themselves legendary. So the questions emerge stimulating: does it only have talents or even vices? Does he have a hobby, does he suffer sudden fears at night? Is it arrogant or kind? Love good food, cross or delight of geniuses like Gioacchino Rossini or artists like Ugo Tognazzi or very popular actors like Bud Spencer?
Was he always dressed as Tazio Nuvolari or did he come back to normal on Mondays? Was he a jealous husband, a good father, a believer? How much did the loss of the two children affect him?
Here is the completely unpublished profile of an unknown "Nivola", of which we continue to talk about victories, accidents, but never of humanity.
