Unveiled in 1963, the 1300/1500 came in a crucial period in Simca's history. The last born under the direction of the emblematic Henri-Théodore Pigozzi, these cars had the difficult task of succeeding Aronde and Ariane.

Their arrival was fundamental in flanking the 1000, and thus building the new Simca range. With their classic design, they became an immediate success thanks to their pleasant lines and undeniable practical qualities.

They were soon available in automatic and station wagon versions, with the aim of satisfying a wide range of customers, in agreement with Chrysler. Renewed in 1301/1501 versions, then enriched with special versions, these cars faced increasingly fierce competition.

Produced in over 1.3 million examples, they conquered a wide and variegated clientele, from the family man to the taxi driver, not forgetting the company director.

Les Simca 1300/1500 - 1301/1501 de mon père has 120 pages and 310 pictures.
