He collected one hundred and twenty awards including cups and trophies, won the European Championships in Tourism.
He participated in thirteen times in the 24 Hours of Le Mans eight at the 24 Hours of Spa and also at the Targa Florio in his awards enjoys success on the Belgian circuit , the Nürburgring , Sebring , Monza , Mugello , Imola , in Fleuron , at Jarama in Daytona and Brno.
For fifteen years he was the official test driver for Alfa Romeo, for which he walked over five miles a day weaning all racing models of the Milanese house : TZ from the GTA, 33 to Montreal.
His advice also contributed to the creation of the Alfa 179 Formula One.
He also competed for Fiat, Abarth, Bandini, Osca, ATS, Alpine, De Tomaso, Iso Grifo, Lola, Porsche and Ferrari.
He raced side by side with Moss in the Grand Prix of Cuba in 1960 and was on that occasion that he met Che Guevara and Fangio.
He touched on the track the more than three hundred and seventy kilometers times.
He beat ace drivers like Rindt, Stewart, Ickx, Munari, Baghetti, Lauda, Hunt, Graham Hill, Quester, Mairesse, MERZARIO, Regazzoni, challenged on the slopes Bruce McLaren, Clark, Pedro and Ricardo Rodriguez , Ireland , Gendebien , Bonnier , Phil Hill, Penske , Ada Pace, Redman , Ligier , Brabham , Gurney , Gregory , Gauls , Couplings, De Adamich , Vaccarella , Marko , Stommelen and many others.
Twice he said no to the Commendatore Enzo Ferrari who wanted him in his stable.
It took the luxury of beating Steve McQueen at Sebring and have tea with him during a break of the race at Le Mans, to overcome Paul Newman in a time trial on a salt lake and trim eight-tenths to Mario Andretti at Daytona.
