There are untold stories of one of those 'things were better back then' times in the sport, a time when touring car racing was a casual, unsophisticated, and pure. It was a time when ever Formula 1 aces such as Andrea de Adamich, Niki Lauda, Jackie Stewart, Emerson Fittipaldi and Rolf Stommelen would race GTAms, Capris and CSL-Coupés, and race them with such ferocity that the inside front wheel barely touched the ground.
