Sir Jackie Stewart was born in Milton, Dumbarton. In the early 60s dominates the scenes of the British Club and European F3 races, passes to F1 in 1965 as a teammate of Graham Hill in the BRM team. During the first season in F1, he won at Monza the first of his 27 victories in the grand prix. He switched to Ken Tyrrell's team in 1968 and with it won three world titles in '69, '71 and '73. He retires from the F1 after having played 99 races. Then he develops a very successful international career in business, forging long lasting business ties with companies like The Ford Motor Company, Rolex, Goodyear, Elf and Moรฉt & Chandon. In 1997 Jackie joined F1 with the Stewart Grand Prix, winning a second place in Monaco at the fifth race and a victory at Nurburgring in September 1999, after only 31 months of activity. Jackie received the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 1972 and the knighthood in 2001, as well as high honors received from the royal families of Jordan and Bahrain. He is actively involved in numerous charitable funds. He is married to Helen for 45 years, has two children, Paul and Mark, and eight grandchildren.
