The Critérium des Cévennes is a car rally created in 1954 and valid for the French Rally Championship.
Prestigious drivers such as Didier Auriol, Jean-Luc Thérier or Jean Vinatier have won it.
In this book, the author, Jacques Privat, retraces the first 25 editions of the Critérium des Cévennes (there were cancellations in 1955, 1958 and 1973).
The photos, almost 450 in black and white and colour, come from Maurice Louche's archives, plus the contribution of many professional and amateur photographers.
Each photo is extensively captioned, there is a text for each edition, and there are data sheets for each Critérium, as well as very comprehensive tables (surnames, names, cars, registrations, etc.).
The preface is by Jean Vinatier, winner of the Critérium des Cévennes 1966, 1968 and 1969.
