Enzo Ferrari, a man with a thorough knowledge of people, was able to enhance the potential of a close relationship between the company and territory, strengthening it and making it ever closer, until it became an inseparable whole.

When, on 21 February 1976, the Municipal Council expressed the gratitude of the townspeople to him, Enzo Ferrari replied that his own merits were little compared to the dedication shown by the workers and the cooperation they gave even in difficult times.

On the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Ferrari (then Auto Avio Costruzioni), here in 1943, the Maranello Town Council promoted this publication, even though documents and testimonies are only a fragment of the enormous mosaic of facts, memories, impressions, meetings and feelings that Ferrari has represented and represents for the people of Maranello.

Maranello Ferrari ela sua gente is entirely dedicated to the town and factory that have grown together to become world-famous. From the original motivations that led Enzo Ferrari's choice of location to the many phases of coexistence and development that followed, fuelled by sentiments that went beyond mutual convenience.

The texts of this valuable volume, in Italian and English, are by Gianni Rogliatti, historian of the marque, skilfully enriched by a wonderful iconographic set, enhanced by drawings portfolio of Nani Tedeschi.
