This, in a nutshell, the Mille Miglia, running the marathon, which for almost years crossed the trent Italy carrying on its streets names such as Nuvolari, Varzi and Biondetti and Fangio, Ascari, Moss and Taruffi, champions at the wheel of cars like Alfa Romeo, Mercedes-Benz, Lancia and Ferrari.
The volume uses a rich iconographic Repertory that, particularly for post-war editions, comes from the Novafoto Archive-Sorlini, a prominent Fund that collects images taken from the official race photographer, Alberto Sorlini, from 1947 to 1957.
And even through this unprecedented and spectacular material that the book covers the history of this epic during which were written unforgettable pages of motor sport.
