The 24 Hours of the Nürburgring - in german ADAC 24h Rennen Nürburgring - is an endurance race for touring and Gran Turismo cars held on the Nordschleife of the Nürburgring circuit and inspired by the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans and 24 Hours of Spa.
It was introduced in 1970 by ADAC as an alternative for amateur drivers and production cars to the 1000 km Nürburgring, reserved for professional drivers and prototypes.
The 2020 ADAC 24 Hours of Nürburgring was the 48th edition and took place from 24 to 27 September 2020.
Although it was previously scheduled for May 21-23, March 17 was announced that the race would be postponed to September due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The heart-pounding finish saw the winner of the ROWE RACING team leading BMW to its 20th overall victory in this race, 50 years after its first success, in 1970.
