A spectacular race! The ADAC TotalEnergies 24h Nürburgring 2023 once again offered the full range of emotions that can only be found in this endurance classic on the longest and most beautiful track in the world.
After a double pole for Mercedes-AMG by Bilstein / GetSpeed, the race turned into a triumph for Frikadelli-Racing, whose Ferrari 296 GT3, recently unveiled, celebrated a brilliant debut.
The Frikadelli team's first victory was in doubt until the last few laps, as ROWE-BMW, which finished second, and GetSpeed-Mercedes-AMG, which started from the front row, chased the Eifel team to the end.
No surprise that the 235,000 spectators at the weekend witnessed the fastest 24-hour race of all time: the winners completed 162 laps, the equivalent of 4,035.102 kilometres at full throttle!
Of course, it was not only the spectacular battle for the overall victory that caused great excitement: the fact that the runner-up BMW did a magnificent recovery race, or that a damaged competitor got his Mercedes-AMG back on track in the Frikadelli workshop after the best qualifying session…
There are countless stories that are worth telling. Of course, this also includes the battles in the 20 classes. After all, the 24 hours does not end with the exhilarating spectacle of the cars leading the group.
There were 132 cars that participated in this year's 24 Hours, and all are featured in this book. And that's not all: starting with the Adenauer Racing Day, the entire event has been documented, including the 24-hour Classic, the Cup and Touring Car Trophy, the RCN and the Touring Car Legends.
