These advertisements were not just issued by Rolls-Royce and Bentley, but also by advertisers who wished to compare the quality of their products to a Rolls-Royce, or just to recreate a British atmosphere. The book covers the complete Silver Cloud and S Series range, including the Continental versions, built from 1955 to 1965. Many of the advertisements were issued by the Rolls-Royce company, the coachbuilders, and the dealers. Some advertisements came from the fashion world, while others from competitor carmakers, which used Rolls-Royce as the basis for comparison with their own models.
