With the Makes World Championship reserved for cars in the Grand Touring category and the insistence of their French importer, the return to the Aston Martin races in 1962 was evident. The mission entrusted to the wonderful cars Project 212-214-215 was to try to follow in the footsteps of the DBR1, victorious in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1959. The Aston Martins projects did not reach its final goal, but their fame is was to have beaten the Ferrari 250 GTO at home in Monza.
