At the end of the eighteenth century, dusty roads began to feel the screeching of the engines and the sound of the horns. Cars thus began to be protagonists of fast mobility. Even Alexandria was pioneer of this medium, incredible at that time. With the intuition of those who run forwards, they are aware of the potentialities of sports. Since 1918, competitions were organized, which they found their consecration in 1924 with the Circuito di Alessandria, then called Circuito Bordino for the tragic end, on that path, of the aisle of the steering wheel that contended the laurels with Varzi and Nuvolari . This competition gained so much fame to be included in the national championship (the Formula One of the time). Here was acclaimed as champion Enzo Ferrari, the Drake, who then, on the same circuit, was able to rally his team. That is why the history of motoring has to Alexandria a place of honor and an important memory.
