Half a century ago, in a handful of years between 1957 and 1959, five young Ferrari drivers lost their lives in their cars: Eugenio Castellotti, Alfonso Portago, Luigi Musso, Peter Collins, Mike Hawthorn.
The volume not only attempts an academic reconstruction of the human side of the pilots, but wants to analyze the mythization process that in the motor world created immense and ephemeral samples from the very beginning.
And he wonders about the role that, in the construction / destruction of such fragile gods, had the most unfathomable of men: Enzo Ferrari.
