- Gravel from the Hunaudières straight and the Le Mans circuit, where he triumphed a remarkable 6 times.
- Bark from a tree in La Roche (Belgium), against which Ickx crashed in 1963, destroying his BMW 700 at the beginning of his career - an emblematic event for him.
- Sand from the Ténéré desert (Niger) and the Pink Lake (Senegal), symbolizing his participations in the Paris-Dakar rally.
- An original bodywork fragment from a Porsche 935.
- Rubber from a worn tire used during the 12 Hours of Sebring (USA).
- A piece of the original curb from the Monaco circuit.
- A stone taken from "Eau Rouge / Raidillon", the famous corner of the Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium.
- A stone from the legendary "Karussell" at the Nürburgring (German Grand Prix).
- A fragment of the racing suit worn during the 1992 Paris-Cape Town / Dakar marathon in South Africa.

Pierre Van Vliet's work, a faithful account of the champion's over 30-year career accompanied by vivid texts and intimate images, has been universally acclaimed by critics.
