The Fulvia Coupé was one of the most iconic models of the Lancia marque, but also loved for its younger, sportier and more dynamic image compared to the contemporary saloons (from which it itself derives), while retaining intact the proverbial class, elegance and distinction of the Borgo San Paolo-based manufacturer.
Designed by Piero Castagnero and inspired by Riva motorboats, when it was first presented, it struck a chord with young driving enthusiasts and upper middle-class ladies, but above all, with its fast and light HF, it would go on to become a legend, winning the world's most important rallies - including the 1972 Monte Carlo rally with the unforgettable duo Munari/Mannucci.
Bringing Lancia back to the Olympus of the most competitive racing car manufacturers and preparing the field for an epic that would inflame the hearts of sportsmen with models such as the Stratos, 037, S4 and Delta Integrale.
Today, the Fulvia Coupé, declined in three series and three different engine versions - 1.2, 1.3 or 1.6 - is a particular favourite amongst rally and road racers for its reliability, road-holding and brilliance.
That is the reason it could not be missing from this series - Le Guide ASI - dedicated to the most iconic models in history.
