Certainly it is no exaggeration to call Lancia Stratos "a true work of art", a masterpiece of style, design and technical avant-garde. This mix produced a car that was surprising at the time, is iconic now and has entered the hearts of many enthusiasts.
With Lancia Stratos Details in my photos Roberto Barbato wants to offer us a new and further insight on the Lancia Stratos, intended to uncover some of the infinite secrets that this marvellous work of art and genius offers us.
The Lancia Stratos photographed in this book, registered in 1976 in Cesenatico (Forlì), was later used for some races of the Italian Rally Championship. In 1977, it was prepared by Almo Bosato (Turin). In 1979, it also participated at the San Marino Rally.
From 2001 to 2004, the car was restored by Luigi Foradini of M.F.S. (Maglioli, Biella), with the collaboration of Aldo Zanone and Fausto Ostano.
In the final part of the book, you will find more pictures of the same Stratos in some of the rallies it took part in: Colline di Romagna (1977), Alto Appennino Bolognese (1977 - 1978) and San Marino (1979).
