LES DINKY TOYS SERIE 24 - 1949-1959: LA DECENNIE PRODIGIEUSE
In the history of Dinky Toys, the 24 series miniatures have always wanted to be the most faithful reflection of the automotive production of the moment. These small cars therefore have a special place in the hearts of fans and collectors. They will allow Meccano to establish itself in the field of models and achieve unprecedented success that will result in out-of-the-ordinary production figures. Some mythical models like the Citroën Traction Avant, the Peugeot 203 or the Ford Vedette will be, together, made in several million copies. Since then, and for all the '50s, the release of every novelty is welcomed and awaited as a great event, spread by many advertisements published by the press for young people. These miniatures, from which emanates an obsolete charm peculiar to the time in which they were born, deserved a book entirely dedicated to them.
