The story of a designer who made himself. He started from Turin with a suitcase in hand and the desire to change his live. Tomaini manages to enter in Abarth and from there his desire for racing becomes indispensable, leading him up to the Scuderia Ferrari in the year when Lauda and Regazzoni are the two official drivers. He manages Formula 1 cars for 13 years, seeing Arnoux, Tambay, Andretti, Scheckter, Reutemann, Alboreto, Pironi, but especially "his" Gilles Villeneuve, told in this book as you have never known him. A gentleman who, at the doors of the pension, also found time to push Nicola Larini (editor of the book's preface) to win the DTM Championship in 1993.
