BEHIND THE SCENES OF FORMULA 1: 1972 - 1980
Raw, unrestrained, dangerous. These three words describe Formula 1 in the 1970s quite accurately. Photographer Frans van de Camp captured the unassuming, adventurous and wild flair of the age with his 35 mm Nikon and a medium-format Mamiya.
This resulted in never-seen-before images of the paddocks and pit lanes of that period. The high-quality black-and-white photographs are accompanied by informative texts by experienced motoring journalist Georg Otto covering the people, vehicles and - in every respect - the background.
Hans- Joachim Stuck, himself part of this generation, enables this work with a sentimental and moving foreword.
