The Peugeot brand features a lion, the animal most emblematic of Africa. This association has not been limited to symbols, but from the origins of the motoring era has seen the Sochaux-based company land on the other side of the Mediterranean, later moving ever deeper into the heart of the Dark Continent.

The history and chronicle of this Peugeot presence in Africa, whose scene is made up of blazing tracks in the desert, uninhabited glades in the savannah, and treacherous marshes at the edges of forests, are told in this book through the testimonies of many protagonists and a selection of spectacular images.
