The car is the result of investigations, trials and tests carried out by a large number of fans from all European countries, making it difficult to establish a precise date indicating the birth the means of transport most common of the modern age. But what is certain is that in 1905 in Turin was born the Automobile Club of Italy at the hands of nine gentlemen members of the Automobile Club of Turin, Florence, Milan, Genoa and Padua. The association now has spread throughout the country with local representatives, in some cases down to municipal level. In Umbria, the first city to have a registered ACI was Terni, then in early 1925 also the city of Perugia could have its headquarters.
In the pages of the book, which is revisited, with great detail and care, all the most important stages of the administrative history and sport that has characterized the Automobile Club of Perugia from the date of its foundation, in 1925, eighty years later. Through a thorough photographic documentation, never seen before, it certifies bringing topical everything that has characterized recent years starting with the story of the plates, past the number 46 in PU, then PG, to the way in which the licenses were issued, also putting emphasis on the way of life of the city bringing anecdotes and stories of some Umbrian family.
