From 1976 to 1986 included, the Rallye des 1000 Pistes was considered the biggest event of French rallies. It took place in the Canjuers military camp north of Draguignan in the Var. This rally also allowed many manufacturers to continue developing their new race cars in race conditions.
Thanks to the archives devotedly guarded by the 'Dragon Sports' association, to important reports in specialized magazines and many other contacts with former drivers, Jacques Privat tells the eleven editions of the Rallye 1000 Pistes.
Based on the photographic archives of Michel Morelli, Michèle Bertier, Bernard Simon and Yves Gallet, he was able to find many unpublished photographs.
