Roberto Patrignani, despite his sporting achievements that were far from negligible, became famous as a journalist, mainly working in Motociclismo's editorial team and then in dozens of other magazines in the sector.

His great technical competence and remarkable riding sensibility made him particularly appreciated as a tester, a role he played for several specialist magazines and for which he was also asked by many motorbike manufacturers to test or evaluate prototypes and pre-series models.

His activity as a writer was intense, often dealing with motorcycling competitions, techniques and exploits, but also the feelings he experienced during his journeys.

Famous among many are In vespa da Milano a Tokyo, Torno subito (avventure in motocicletta), Resti tra noi. Dialoghi sulla moto, Pane e chilometri.

Similarly, the present volume, Ti porterò a Bray Hill, published in 1989, inspired by his two participations at Tourist Trophy (1960 and 1961).

The author tells of a middle-aged man's "senile infatuation" with a splendid motorbike, produced in limited number, very expensive and intended for racing.

So he undertakes to race it on the insidious Tourist Trophy circuit, with unforeseeable and dramatic consequences.
