The Tour Auto Optic 2000 is one of the world's largest and most popular road racing events for historic race cars.
It is the faithful evocation of the Tour de France Automobile, which from 1899 to 1986 was one of the most formidable test benches ever imagined.
A pilgrimage with a running pace. The 2018 edition has linked Paris, Besançon, Megève, Avignon, Aix-en-Provence and finally Nice, visiting the historic sites of the competition: Dijon-Prenois, Paul-Ricard or Col de Turini.
Among the 240 competitors, the 2018 edition focused on the disappeared Italian brands: Autobianchi, De Tomaso, Osca, Siata, Moretti, Dino, but most of the drivers competed on Austin-Healey, BMW, Cobra-Ford, Ferrari, Ford (GT40, Mustang ...), Jaguar, Lotus, Maserati and Porsche.
