Valerio Riva, a man with a grumpy and good-natured face, moved between duties and pleasures of life, from cooking to sport to competitions. With his exploits and quirks he engaged the press for the entire period of his activity, from '22 to '35, both for his achievements but above all for his ability to fine-tune his motorbikes with unusual solutions resulting from experience and wit.
In chronological order, excerpts of articles and curiosities related to the competitions in which Riva took part, evocative archive and current images of restored or preserved vintage motorbikes, advertisements of motorbike manufacturers and more are alternated. All this over a period that runs from 1913 to 1936 and beyond.
A part of the volume is also dedicated to the four-cylinder motorbike built by Riva, together with the studies and projects for its construction.
