From the day he was born, on 16 February 1979, into a family with a passion for motorcycling - his father Graziano competed as a professional rider in 250 and 500 categories - Valentino Rossi seemed destined for a great future in racing.

He began as a child with go-karts and mini-motos, before coming to international circuits in 1996. Racing for Aprilia in the 125 class, Rossi won his first world championship in the second year.

In 1998, he moved up to 250 class, where he became world champion in 1999. Reaching 500 class in 2000, Rossi went on to MotoGP, collecting 9 world titles (the only one to have won the title in four different classes) and 115 victories, before retiring at the end of the 2021 season.

This exclusive biography, full of personal and race photos, traces Rossi's incredible battles against Max Biaggi, Casey Stoner, Marc Marquez and many other champions, as well as his rivalries between riders, his friendship with Marco Simoncelli, his relationship with Jeremy Burgess, his harmony with engineers and the constant presence of his father and family.

Michael Scott, motorcycling journalist and long-time writer, was almost always present at the circuit during the 432 Grand Prix ridden by Rossi. Rossi's extraordinary charm, charisma, and irreverence have won a multitude of fans and his indomitable will to win has made him a motorcycling legend.

Valentino Rossi. La biografia definitiva honours his unrivalled legend.
