VW Käfer Cabrio 1949-1980 was published in 1994 in the popular Schrader-Motor-Chronik series by Schrader Verlag.

When the "Deutsche Volkswagen" was presented in 1938, it was a great success, but due to the imminent war, the car did not go into production.

The car's post-war success was unstoppable until the end of its production in Germany at the beginning of 1978.

The Beetle has become a legend for a long time. And hardly any other German-made cabriolet has achieved as much popularity as the open-top version of the Volkswagen car.

In this volume, all cabriolet versions - by Karmann, but also by Hebmuller, Rometsch and other coachbuilders - are illustrated through the advertisements of the time: a real treasure for enthusiasts of historical motoring.
