On January 14, 1986, Thierry Sabine died, racing on a helicopter during the Paris Dakar rally, which he created in 1978. The adventurous man has the exceptional ability to open the door to evasion from our increasingly limited world. This was Thierry Sabine, the man who lived, and made thousands of fans, big rallies, like Touquet Enduro and Paris Dakar live. Sabine was gifted with a particular courage, a particular strength, a particular visionary ability. Merchant of Dreams and Happiness, was the heir to the legendary Sahara adventurers who revealed to men their true nature without discounts. Fascinated, conquered and enchanted by Africa, he was an ambassador. By exploiting his charisma and the rare decision-making ability he had, and by fulfilling his passion for action, he lived in the depths of his modern destiny of Prince of the Desert. In the course of nine years, between January 14, 1977, when he lost in the Ténéré and escaped to death until his crusade in January 1986 he savored the joy of victory in all the challenges, the crazy races he had devised, To Paris Dakar. It will be forever the icon of the adventure man of the end of the twentieth century for all those who, following his example, will want to push courageously to the limits of themselves.
