Vittorio Brambilla was the last of the romantic drivers. It was the same for him whether he was driving a motorcycle, a kart, a F3, F2, F1 or a Prototype. He raced to satisfy his passion for racing and had learnt the craft well: he was frequently faster than rivals blessed with superior technical and financial resources.
His racing reflected his personality: a courageous man but not to take unnecessary risks, a passionate but sensitive and technically competent driver. Vittorio had speed in his blood.
