July 1968 - the "Grand Prix de l'Automobile Club de France" becomes the "Grand Prix de France" at the famous Rouen-Les Essarts circuit.

The programme is ambitious with races of the R8 Gordini, Formula France, F3 and F1. Previously unpublished documents, testimonies, and photos shed new light on this weekend of racing mixed with joy and tears. Listen to the roar of the V8s, meet Rindt, Stewart, Hill, Brabham, Ickx, Rodriguez, Beltoise and Schlesser and let yourself be carried away by the history of this Grand Prix.

This book is part of a new series of publications revealing the "arrêts sur image" (stills) of the great film in motor racing history.

The aim is to take an in-depth look at a single weekend, the choice of which depends above all on the authors' opportunity of gathering as much original and complete documentation as possible: photos, plans, programs, drawings, reports and historical evidence.

All disciplines of the sport's history will be covered: F1, F2, F3, FJ, FF, sport-prototypes, GT, tourism, marque trophies, rally, etc. If the programme includes other events of different nature (motorcycling, cycling, etc.), these will be reported with equal care and precision.

The considerable preparatory work required to produce such works means that each author had to rely on other contributors to benefit from the exchange of personal networks and rare documentary resources. It is thanks to their remarkable spirit of collaboration that this project has been possible.
