From March 1972 to December 2022, 559 rallies were held in Sicily. An average of almost 12 races per year over five decades. From the legendary Lancia Fulvia HF of Munari-Mannucci, which won the first edition of Rally di Sicilia, to the Škoda Fabia R5 dominating the 50th season of the speciality on the island.
71 models of 18 different makes allowed 122 drivers and 162 navigators to write their names at least once in the golden roll of a Sicilian rally. With patience and enthusiasm the staff of Sicilia Motori, which has been telling the story of the island's racing for 41 years, has put together chronicles, anecdotes, memories, figures and numbers, interweaving them with stories of passion and love for rallies.
The result of this work is the book 50 Anni di Rally in Sicilia 1972 - 2022, a large-format volume, elegant graphics and printed on fine paper, with 354 pages and a rich photographic outfit with 145 b/w and colour pictures.
The book has a prologue dedicated to the birth of rallies in the world, the arrival in Europe and Italy and finally in Sicily - with the first experiences in the 1930s - reaching the present day.
It is a unique work of essential reference for enthusiasts, and a useful working instrument for operators in this field.
