In 2025, Alpine will celebrate its 70th anniversary. This book covers each day of those eventful 70 years. The story begins even before the brand was officially created, a few years earlier, with the first berlinettes designed by Jean Rédélé based on Renault models.
From the outset, Alpine has always lived in the shadow of the brand with the roar. From 1955 to 1995, the brand with the arrowed A symbolised the uniqueness of French motoring with its charming handcrafted cars and extraordinary sporting successes in rallies and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
After 1995, the Alpine name was replaced by Renault Sport, but the Dieppe plant continued to operate, ensuring the production of the group's most high-performance models. The name fell into oblivion until 2016, when Renault officially announced its intention to bring it back to life.
Thus began a new life for Alpine, which built a brand new commercial range, developed concept cars and competed in the two most prestigious and competitive disciplines, endurance racing and Formula 1.
Alpine, de l'ambition à la légende narrates the exciting destiny of this brand, the enthusiasm it aroused, the men it revealed, its rise, its acquisition, its lethargy, its rebirth and its full development.
