The photographic book ATTILIO BETTEGA: una mano sul cuore … e una sul volante, by Gianni Tomazzoni, and written in collaboration with his wife Isabella, son and daughter Alessandro and Angela, with the collaboration of Beppo Cadrobbi, is intended to celebrate and above all remember the great champion, who lost his life on 2 May 1985.
Attilio Bettega is still remembered with great nostalgia by those who had the good fortune to follow his exploits at the wheel of Fiat-Lancia group cars, and is present in the hearts of his many fans around the world.
The book traces Attilio's sporting epic, giving greater prominence to the human and private aspects of one of the best-loved drivers on the international road racing scene. It's illustrated with beautiful, often unpublished pictures, some of which were made available by the many enthusiasts and photographers who accepted the author's appeal.
