Inspired by the Bauhaus movement and the mighty and victorious Auto Union single-seaters of the 1930s, the Audi TT is certainly not a car that passed unnoticed: essential, compact, with its smooth lines and devoid of unnecessary frills, with its gritty interior but made with the proverbial care of the House of the Four Rings, it represented one of the most iconic and characteristic models at the turn of the new millennium, a perfect synthesis of style, technology and driving pleasure, all in a retro sauce.

The two versions, coupé and roadster, in which it was declined, astonished at the launch because they were practically identical to the concept from which they were derived, but were then able to assert themselves for their strong dynamic qualities, for the driving feeling it gave the driver and for the refined and curious details, such as the beautiful alloy wheels, the dashboard of aeronautical inspiration and the particular workmanship of the leathers, the most famous of which was that which replicates the stitching of baseballs, to wink at the USA, its chosen market.

Today, it is one of the most popular and widespread youngtimers in our country too, thanks to its usability, reliability and relative economy. Its story is well worth recounting, providing those who own one, or want to, with a complete and usable identification tool and buying guide.

AUDI TT - Le Guide ASI has 60 lavishly illustrated pages. Text in Italian.
