In this book a Dean of autotrenisti, Gino Barletti, tells the story of his life in contact with the truck in the period that goes from the 40 's to the 60 's. His personal experiences, which were common to many truckers, are told through anecdotes and references that give an accurate picture of the hard life of a autotrenista. A judgment is given on the various types of truck, listing features, strengths and weaknesses. A chapter was devoted to American trucks (explosive remnants of war) and the evolution of the dress used in the Guide.
