Located in the former Motobécane factories in Pantin, the Centre International de l'Automobile was the realisation of the dream of a group of great enthusiasts who wanted to share their emotions and offer everyone an opportunity to experience this unique atmosphere.
You will be amazed by the extraordinary cars that this unique conceptual museum hosted during many permanent and temporary exhibitions and events from 1989 to 1999.
Hervé Ogliastro and Laurent Hériou recount the genesis of this "great challenge", the creation of fabulous exhibitions that would be impossible to organise today, the many anecdotes, the incredible and enduring memories, but also the disappointments of the adventure, above all human, experienced by many of the actors in this space that breathed passion.
Finally, together with other witnesses, they posed a question that many share: "Why doesn't the Paris region, historical cradle of the automobile, have a single museum that is the custodian of a human, social and industrial heritage whose transmission would be absolutely praiseworthy?".
