Roberto Barbato, drawing on his infinite archive, gives us another photographic book dedicated to the Sicilian hillclimb races, the famous Coppa Monte Kronio, held from 1973 to 1992, focusing on the 1974, 1975 and 1976 editions.
Located in Sciacca, in the province of Agrigento, the track measured 4,450 m, with a difference in altitude of 245 m and a gradient of 5.8%. There were four turns, three of which in sequence, and two long straights, several particularly 'technical' and spectacular points.
The Saccense hill-climb was the scene of many duels between two Sicilian champions of this specialty: Benny Rosolia and Enrico Grimaldi.
