The book features a preface by Alfredo Stola, grandson of the founder of the historic metallurgical company Stola (born in 1919) and today the head of StudioTorino, a company active in car design.
This monograph celebrates the Fiat Ritmo, which was unveiled at the Turin Motor Show in April 1978. The car brought along many innovations for its time: unprecedented stylistic solutions, new mass-produced materials, and an extensive use of computers and robots in the car's design and construction processes.
Designed for a customer base that, following the '73-'74 oil crisis, was looking for practical sedans offering good interior space and low fuel consumption, the Ritmo was later developed into a series of versions that remain iconic today: Cabrio, 105TC, and Abarth.
The entire stylistic, technical, and sporting history of the Ritmo - a car produced in over two million units - is gathered in this highly detailed monograph. On a visual level, in addition to extensive archival materials, the book takes advantage of original drawings created by the author himself.
As is usual in the "Le vetture che hanno fatto la storia" series, the volume is completed by a dedicated chapter focusing entirely on restoration.
120 pages and hundreds of b/w and colour photographs. Text in Italian.
