Nine stories about nine Alfa cars, plus an appendix dedicated to the Alfettas driven by the worst jailbirds in living memory. Tales where the protagonist is a car that really existed, with a number plate, witness or actress of Italian events.
From the hiding places of the past, all you have to do is go and find them, surprising them in a barn full of archive papers, pieces of newspaper and oxidised photos. You meet them and whisper to them your morbid curiosities.
You interrogate them, and they answer you, telling you how they have passed through the history of this beautiful, terrible country that is Italy. They reveal to you, narrating objects, their vicissitudes: criminal and cursed, torbid, obscure, mysterious; but also sympathetically malicious, or malandrine. In a word: Mala cars!
