To celebrate the long and historic partnership between the Carabinieri and Alfa Romeo, which began immediately after the Second World War and continues to this day, here is an elegant photographic book created in close collaboration with the Army itself. The focus is on a select group of cars that, in the Army's livery, embodied an era.

The Matta AR 51, Giulia, Alfetta, Alfa 90, 75, 156, 159, Giulietta, Nuova Giulia, Tonale and Stelvio are the protagonists of a series of photo shoots staged at the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese and in Rome. An additional shoot at the Vallelunga circuit allowed the latest Giulia to take to the track.

Underlying the photographic material, however, is also the history of the country and the Army, divided into six sections that begin with the days of reconstruction, passing through the splendour of the “economic miracle” and the difficult economic situation of the 1970s and 1980s, before arriving at the new scenarios that have marked the country's history.

These chapters are written by Danilo Moriero, head of communications and press office at ANCI (National Association of Italian Municipalities) and a great connoisseur of Alfa's history, while Lorenzo Ardizio, director of the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese and head of the Arese Documentation Centre, provides the context for the various cars “in livery”.

Carabinieri e Alfa Romeo Al servizio del Paese features 296 pages and hundreds of b/w and colour photos.
