Paolo Rampini was born in December 1949 in Milan, the city where he has always lived. He has cultivated his passion for model cars since childhood.
At the age of 13, his collection included 150 models. After 50 years, he still has a collection of around 12,000 pieces, mostly die-cast models.
Paolo Rampini began his career as a publisher and author of books on antique toys and model cars in 1982. Since then, he has published 36 books, including The Golden Book of Model Cars (1995) and books on Bburago and Brumm, which stand out for their interest and success.
This volume, published in 2025, is dedicated to mini tin cars produced from 1900 to around 1980. In addition to tin models, there are also pieces made of wood/tin, lead/tin and plaster/tin. All the pieces photographed belong to the author's collection.
Like all of Paolo Rampini's books, Mini Auto in latta is richly illustrated and features 116 pages.
