1969 was not solely the year of the first man on the moon, but, in motorcycling circles, also the one in which, closer to home, Honda unveiled its CB 750 Four.
A bike that was 10 years ahead of its rivals, offered at a price comparable to those of the other large displacement machines it dwarfed in terms of performance.
A fabulous bike at a reasonable price: quite extraordinary, like nothing that had been seen before. This was the beginning of a love affair between the biker and the bike that was to last throughout the Seventies, a decade that was a true golden age for motorcycling, thanks to the advent of the thrilling, unforgettable “big bikes”.
